Moses Virivolomo

Mr. Moses Virivolomo was born and lived in Solomon Islands for most of his lifetime. A civil engineer by profession and worked for the Solomon Islands Government for 38 years including 30 years at the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and 8 years with the Ministry of Communication and Aviation of which 12 years as Permanent Secretary. 

His strength lies in transport planning, project management, contract management, policy development, aviation, communication, water, ports and championing reforms in the transport sector. Was instrumental in the development of the first National Transport Policy, the first National Transport Fund, transitioning to outsourcing of work to the private sector and transitioning Marine Division to a Maritime Safety Administration.

Was Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Communication and Aviation in 2015 and again instrumental in bringing order, pushed infrastructure development, prioritising compliance and driving the establishment of Solomon Islands Airports Corporation Ltd. Currently managing the construction of 161 telecommunication towers under the Solomon Islands National Broadband Infrastructure Project. Completed a Bachelor Civil Engineering Degree at Central Queensland University in Australia in 1993 and in 2009 completed a Master of Engineering (transportation) Studies at Canterbury University, New Zealand.
